Today we had Ms. Shetler visit us for a special STEM Challenge: saving the honeybees! Honeybees are critical to our environment to pollinate and help grow the plants we need to breathe and eat! They are dying at an alarming rate due to pesticides. Our challenge was to create an accurate model of a honeybee's anatomy, then collect "pollen" on the flowers, then create a solution to the problem of pesticides with given materials! It was amazing to see the kids thinking outside of the box. Take a look at some of the snapshots I grabbed!
