Our 5 Regions

Weekend challenge! Ask your child about the regions of the United States. The class was split into five groups to become experts on one of the regions in our country. This ties in with our Social Studies curriculum of learning the history of the United States. We need to know about the land before we can learn about the people :) Another thing you can do to help your child succeed is study the map provided to them of the 50 states. There will be a geography quiz (with word bank) at the end of next week (9/28).

Some questions you can ask are:

-What is the population of the region?

-What is the climate like?

-What kinds of plants and animals are common there?

-Which states are included in this region?
