Reaching for Stars and Goals

We wrapped up our first week of school! And what a great week it was. We reviewed school and classroom procedures and made our class pact. To get to know the class, I asked everyone to write a goal that he or she had on the pennants hanging in our windows. Now everyone who walks by our classroom will see what we aspire to be! My goal is to be a great fifth grade teacher this year. Some of our other goals are to make new friends, get better at math, be in the army, learn a new instrument, and be a doctor. I think we are making great strides toward these goals!

We also promise to be a class that reaches for the stars! Whatever challenges come our way, we will remain positive and be motivated to find the silver lining! We can accomplish anything we put our minds to, so we all stuck our hands up on the walls to start reaching for those stars beginning this very first week.
